What it covers
System-level safety standard for energy storage systems. US residential codes (IRC R328, NFPA 855) require installed systems to be listed to UL 9540.
How to verify a certificate
Ask the supplier for the certificate or file number and the exact model it covers, then look it up in UL Product iQ. A certificate that is not in the registry, or that covers a different model, does not certify the product in front of you.
