How we verify

Every figure, certificate and rule on PowerTrusted links to its source, with the date it was checked.

Certificates

Each certificate is shown with one of two statuses:

✓ Verified

Found in the issuing body's registry (UL Product iQ, TÜV Certipedia, national listings such as the Clean Energy Council in Australia, ZEREZ in Germany or MCS in the UK), covering this model, on the date shown.

Manufacturer-stated

Stated by the manufacturer and not yet confirmed in a registry.

Manufacturers and cells

Brand, manufacturer and cell supplier come from company registries, regulatory filings, certificates (which name the holder and the factory), teardowns and the manufacturer's own documents. Each is shown with its source.

Market rules

Rules come from the legal texts, regulators and grid operators of each market. Each rule shows whether it is in force, adopted or proposed, and the date it applies from.

Independence

Suppliers can claim and complete their profiles and add documents for us to verify. No one can pay to change a fact, to remove a recall, or to rank above another product.
